About Liberty Montessori

Westchester County's Top Rated Program

Dear Parents,

We at Liberty Montessori School realize how very important these early years are for learning. In our supportive and encouraging atmosphere, each child is free to inquire, discover and learn.

The qualified and sensitive teachers of Liberty create a stimulating and safe environment for your child

Our “home away from home” setting inspires individuality, creativity, and spontaneity.

Liberty schools are located in quiet, residential neighborhoods. This atmosphere gives the child a nurturing and secure environment. Our outdoor playgrounds are fully equipped for fun, exercise and team endeavors.

We have been serving the community for over 34 years and operate under the federal and state guidelines. Our schools have been cited several times for excellence by the government and national television programs.

We work closely with parents, and the children to share and enjoy cultural experiences which give global vistas to broaden horizons and open a window of understanding and respect for all.

I welcome your interest and am pleased to invite you, and your child to share a day with us and experience our world.

Sincerely,

The Whole Child Approach

Our educational philosophy integrates Montessori methods and early
childhood principles to address the needs of the contemporary child.

Dr. Maria Montessori believed that children absorb information at a rapid rate and are in a crucial developmental period. At this stage, study patterns develop as well as interests in understanding the concepts of math, language, anthropology and various other academic necessities. Utilizing this as a foundation, Liberty Montessori School has developed age appropriate classroom environments using the proven effective tools and guidance to assist the children in the transition from one level of challenges to the next.

Our primary goals at Liberty Montessori Schools are to help young children to reach their full potential in all areas of life: social skills, emotional growth, physical coordination and cognitive preparation. Our comprehensive curriculum will encourage the growth in discovering each child's joy of learning , building listening skills, inquiring self discipline, interaction with peers and grown-ups and the development of self confidence. Students also receive Japanese, Spanish and French language lessons combined with international cultural programs to promote a diverse understanding of the world. Lessons are reinforced with songs, music, stories, movement and interactions with others from different countries. Subjects such as Poetry, Math, Reading, English Language, Geography, Zoology, Chemistry, Health and Physical education as well as Technology and sciences are taught with hands-on, state-of-the-art materials to enhance the concepts and expand the capacity of the students' imagination.
